As a busy mum of three lunch times have become none existent i just never seem to find the time, after the school run doing the shopping and starting the household chores time just seems to fly by  and before i know it lunch time has past and my tummy is rumbling, i just don't have the time to prepare myself lunch before picking the children up. So when i was asked to try some of Tasty little numbers  heat and eat pots i just couldn't say no.
When they arrived i opened the box to find a selection of different flavours and boy did they look delicious , i just couldn't wait to get stuck in. I have one favourite which is the Chicken Tikka Masala with lemon basmati ric, it just smelt and tasted delicous it had lemon basmati rice and succulent chicken breast in an aromatic onion & tomato sauce, chargrilled red peppers and roasted butternut squash, before heating it i read the instructions  just to double check i was doing it correctly as there was no plastic film to pierce you just had to loosen the lid and pop you pot in the microwave for 3 to 4 Min's depending on which watt microwave you have, then allow 1 min to stand, stir thoroughly and of you go.
I would have to say Tasty little numbers heat and eat pots really are a quick and easy tasty snack excellent for busy people who just don't have time to cook or prepare a quick and healthy snack during the day, one thing i would like to add though is once you have heated up your snack pot it does take a while for it to cool down and the plastic can become to hot to hold making it a little difficult to eat straight away if you are in a rush or on the go, so maybe it could do with some kind of cardboard around the pot to add an extra layer which may helpwhen holding your pot if you are eating on the go.

Tasty Little Numbers is a delicious range of portion controlled snacks and hot meals which take the hassle out of calorie counting. Aimed at those with a busy lifestyle and who would shy away from being seen picking up a Weight Watchers bar for example, the 100 calorie snacks and 200 calorie hot meals are perfect for those who love food but love to take care of themselves at the same time. They’ve also just launched 300 calorie meal pots which are available in Sainsbury’s.

NUK have a great range of baby products from soothers, bottles to weaning products that are suitable for babies aged 6 months +. We was kindly asked if we would like to try one of NUKs lovely products, as Davina was over 12months old there was wasn't much to choose from so i chose one of their lovely Disney Learner bottles which Davina loves even though it does state its for 6 months plus.
Since using the new NUK learner bottle we have thrown out Davina old baby bottle as this one has a teat the seems more grown up. It is easy to hold and a hasn't leaked once since using it which is great.
I also find it really easy to clean unlike some bottles we have tried.

  • Trainer handles with anti slip grip made for little hands.
  • Replacement Spouts are also available in the ‘accessories’ section.

Sterilise using Steam or cold water sterilisation. Do not place NUK products in the dishwasher as this can cause material damage. Also microwave sterilisation may cause material damage.

Back to school with Shoe Zone

Its that time of year again where us mummies face a tough challenge of choosing the right pair of school shoes for our children.
As parents we know and understand that going to school can be very tiring and being on your feet quite a lot can also make your feet very tired too, so as a mum we know that when choosing the right pair of shoes for a our little ones they must not only be suitable but also comfortable too. The first day back at school can be the best day of your children's life but it can also be the worst when shoes some shoes can give you blisters.

We was given the opportunity to test a pair of girls school shoes from Shoe Zone as part of their back to school challenge, we got to choose a pair of shoes from their website there was so many lovely shoes to choose from but
we chose a gorgeous but also stylish pair with a knotted sash detail on the front also a Velcro strap which fastened to the side.
As soon as they arrived Michaela just couldn't wait to try them on, she slipped them on with out any trouble at all fastened the strap and took a walk around the house to see how they felt. I really like the style of the shoes they almost look like ballerina pumps they are very comfy looking too.
They have a very pretty pattern on the front adding a little detail which i love, the fact they don't have a heel makes them suitable for running around in the playground at play time.
Michaela wore her shoes for the first time on a trip to the shops, she said they were very comfortable and i noticed while she was walking it almost looked like she was dancing and skipping so they must have been very comfortable and i never heard a single complaint when we got home. Michaela now looks forward to getting up in the morning just to get ready and put her shoes on ready for school, Michaela loves her shoes and
i must admit the do look gorgeous with a pair of ankle socks.
