Shimmer & Shine Dress Up Trunk Review

My daughter Davina aged 6 was lucky to be picked to review her all time favourite girls Nickloadeon show Shimmer & Shines dress up trunk.

Soon as the Shimmer & Shine Dress up trunk arrived Davina was so excited to take a look at all the fabulous dress ups inside, First of all we was amazed at the bright and beautiful Shimmer & Shine trunk which was made of sturdy cardboard and was covered in genie sparkle and a plastic window for the lid which had all the Shimmer and Shine dress ups on show.  Included in each Shimmer & Shine trunk is:
1 pair of play slippers
2 Bangles
12 interchangeable jewels
2 Hair clips
1 decorative genie bottle storage container

Davina loves dressing up and was overly excited to dress up as her very own Shimmer and Shine character, first of all Davina put on her Genie slippers which she found was a little to big but has plenty of room to still grow in which means they will fit her for a good few months yet.

Secondly Davina tried on the Shimmer and Shine bangles which she thought were cool as you could remove the gems and replace them with more gems provided making each bangle your own.
Davina then put her genie bottle shaped hair clips in which she said made her look and feel pretty.

Another great feature is the Shimmer & Shine genie bottle which has a spinner you can spin to help you choose which gems to put on your Shimmer and Shine bangles and all spare gems can then be stored away inside your Shimmer & shines genie bottle.
Shimmer & Shine trunks are priced at £12.99 and can be found here at Toys R Us .

Davina has now asked for Other products in the Shimmer and Shine range which include – Shimmer & Shine Wig sets, Shimmer & Shine boxed dress up sets and Shimmer & Shine Jewellery boxes.

Kingsland Drinks #wine #Review

Kingsland Drinks who is the premier independent UK supplier of wine and spirits. They do a vast range of wines that would be perfect a perfect for Mum's on Mothers Day.
They have a wide range of tasty wines such as prosecco, sparkling wines, and confectionery flavoured wines such as rhubarb & custard and pear drops.

These wines range from £4.99-£16.99

I was sent a bottle of Curious Emporium Rhubarb & Custard and Pear drops to try, was I surprised who would of thought you could get rhubarb & custard flavour wine I've never heard or tried it before so this was a first for me.
First I tried the rhubarb & custard which I was a little unsure about at first but the more I had the more it grew on me it had nice sweet flavour then a little bitterness which I thought was really nice it wasn't to much and smelt divine.
Secondly I  tried the pear drops which I have to admit was my favourite one out of the two of them, it reminded of the sweets I use to have as kids tasty and mouthwatering.

Disclosure: I was sent two bottles of wine free to try and give my honest opinion.

Drumond Park Crazy Claw Arcade Game #Review & #Giveaway

Drumond Park’s Crazy Claw is total pandemonium!

Over the past week we have been playing one of Drumond park's brand new table-top games Crazy Claw. Crazy Claw is one of those games that all your kids will love.
Firstly Crazy Claw is suitable for children aged 5+ and two to four players can play at a time.

Once we opened the box we found you had to put parts of it together which we found a bit fiddly but with the help of a second person it was easily done. One would need to hold the clear plastic while the other holds down the base and slots it in. There were 12 balls and press out cardboard prizes and the Crazy Claw grabber and also a few stickers to place around the arcade machine.
Once the Crazy Claw machine is put together each cardboard prize token is placed inside the balls and dropped into the machine ready to be captured  by each player.
The object of the game is for each player to take a game card with 3 different prizes on to win by grabbing with the claw, each player then takes turns to try grabbing a ball with the Crazy Claw. Players take turns to try grabbing a ball with the Crazy Claw but it''s not that easy! All the other players have a paddle each placed around the arcade machine and to make it harder for you to capture a ball they will be pounding at the paddles making the balls move around the machine making it more difficult for you to grab one. If the ball you catch has a prize token inside that matches the picture on the game card in front of you, you then place the token on your game card and pop the ball back in to the machine and it's the next person's turn to get grabbing. The first person to collect all three tokens on their game card wins. My four loved playing Crazy Claw - they said it reminded them of the arcade games we use to play whilst on holiday.

Crazy Claw (rrp £24.99 age 5+)

You can try and win one of your very own Crazy Claw arcade games below through the Rafflecopter Good luck competition open to uk only

Top Board Games for Easter Half Term University Games

Top Board Games For Easter Half Term including Bunny Jump, Googly Eyes and Yeti In My Spaghetti

Easter half term is just around the corner and University Games has pulled together its top games to keep the family entertained across the Easter holidays. Whether it’s stealing carrots from the bunny’s burrow, drawing with googly glasses or naming the first three things in 5 seconds… University Games has something to suit all ages.

Over the weekend 4 out of my children Callum, Michaela, Davina and little Katelyn have been testing two of University's Games board games. We was sent Yeti in my spaghetti and Word has it !. Both games were equally fun but the all time fave was word has it ! there was lots of laughter with this one as some of the word created were just so funny. First of all they decided to play Yeti in my spaghetti which was quick and easy to set up by placing the plastic spaghetti pieces Cris cross over a bowl provided and the the Yeti placed in the middle of the bowl on top of the spaghetti each person then took in turns to take a piece of spaghetti from under the Yeti with out making him fall in to the bowl which then means you lose the game.

Secondly they played Word has it ! which I couldn't resist and had to join in helping Davina make words. The object of the game is to make the longest word you can when each player takes a turn of picking up a word has it card, underneath each card has a sentence like for example (something blue) which you then have to spin the dial on the board provided which reveals a letter for Example (B), each player then needs to think of a longest word of something blue beginning with B. Seems easy doesn't it not when you have just 40seconds on the clock to think, find your letters and build your word with out knocking it over like we did a few times. You also get an extra time card and any letter card to help you. The race against time has you in a panic but we had so much laughter at the same time which was so lovely its something haven't done in a long time. We had so much fun trying out both games it gave us family quality time together and will defiantly have fun playing them over the Easter holiday.

Yeti in my spaghetti

This game is as crazy as it sounds… Take turns to carefully pull away the squiggly spaghetti sticks from the bowl, but be careful not to let the yeti that is sat balancing on top tumble into the bowl. As the intensity rises with each draw of spaghetti, the player who makes the yeti fall is the looser!

Ages 4+. For 2+ players. RRP: £19.99 available from Amazon

Word has it !

Challenge the wordsmiths in the family to this race at great speed... the tallest word is what you need!
This new word game from University Games is sure to put the fun on the rise - simply create the tallest word under the time limit to win!

Ages 7+. For 2 - 4players. RRP: £19.99 available from Amazon

University Games have plenty more games to enjoy like Bunny jump, 5 Second rule Jr, Google eyes and Don't rock the boat.
